The Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Holyoke Dragons at 4:00 p.m. Hopefully Haxtun focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Haxtun strolled past Otis with points to spare, taking the game 47-33. The win was just what Haxtun needed coming off of a 50-20 defeat in their prior matchup.
Haxtun can attribute much of their success to Emily Anderson, who scored 13 points along with six steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. Jayleigh Bullard was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Holyoke's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chase County.
Haxtun's victory bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Holyoke, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
