Basketball Recap: Indianapolis Washington Takes a Loss

Indianapolis Washington lost against Indianapolis Crispus Attucks back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Indianapolis Washington Continentals lost 78-55 to the Indianapolis Crispus Attucks Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Continentals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Tigers are ranked 34th).

Despite the loss, Indianapolis Washington still got an impressive performance from Roosevelt Franklin, who went 11 for 26 en route to 31 points and seven boards. The match was Franklin's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Camryn Brewer, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Indianapolis Crispus Attucks' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Imon Cousins led the charge by putting up 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julius Spann, who put up 13 points.

Indianapolis Washington has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Indianapolis Crispus Attucks, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6.
