The Tree of Life Christian Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge Genoa Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
While Tree of Life Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Northside Christian with a sharp 17-2 win on Tuesday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Jacob Brown made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Tree of Life Christian is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-3 otherwise. Brown was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Tree of Life Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northside Christian only posted an OBP of .286.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Genoa Christian Academy). Everything went their way against Delaware Christian on Tuesday as they made off with an 18-6 victory. With that win, Genoa Christian Academy brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
The team relied heavily on Vinny Messana, who went 3-for-4 with nine RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Micah Kline also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Tree of Life Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Genoa Christian Academy, their record is now 2-3.
