Despite the loss, Jefferson Independent Day saw an underclassman step up: Kohl Thurman scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Twiss, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Jefferson Independent Day has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 14 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season. As for College Heights Christian, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8.
