Having just played yesterday, the North Miami Beach Chargers will jump right back in to play the Piper Bengals at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Thursday, North Miami Beach took a serious blow against Stranahan, falling 78-49. While losing is never fun, North Miami Beach can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Stranahan is ranked 70th).
Jaycob Joseph put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 32 points. He scored a full 65.3% of North Miami Beach's points, the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Edgar Inoa, who scored four points along with five assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Piper, who are still winless after their 11th game. They took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monsignor Pace on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Piper has scored all season.
North Miami Beach's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Piper, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
