Mauldin won the last time they faced Easley and  Reddick Langston did his part to make sure it happened again. The Mavericks blew past the Green Wave 49-24 on Friday thanks in part to  Langston, who rushed for 161 yards and two  scores on only ten carries, and also threw for 211 yards and three  TDs on only 18 passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 66 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Mauldin's leading receiver  Tamari Shepherd was  Langston's top target yet again, picking up 99 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns. Shepherd is becoming a predictor of the Mavericks' success: when he posts  at  least 80  receiving yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).

 Mauldin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Devon Wilson and  Lucas Hagedorn. Hagedorn has been hot for a while, having also posted five or more  total tackles the last 13 times he's  played.
 Easley lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Josiah Coleman, who threw for 237 yards and a pair of  TDs, and also rushed for 58 yards and one  score.  Jeremiah Patton helped out on the ground, rushing for 91 yards.
With the  win, Mauldin broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4. As for Easley, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record  this season.
