Wahconah Regional is 8-2 against the Generals since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Wahconah Regional Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pittsfield Generals at 7:00 p.m.
Last Saturday, Wahconah Regional was beaten by the Brownies 61-34. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wahconah Regional has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Pittsfield had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 74-65 victory over Agawam. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Pittsfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malachi Perry, who scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perry has scored all season. Da'Sean Brown was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Wahconah Regional's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5. As for Pittsfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
