Phalen Leadership Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against Crimson Knights on Saturday, falling 36-0. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crimson Knights to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Barajas, who rushed for 85 yards and two TDs on only nine carries. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Francis, who threw for 104 yards and three touchdowns.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phalen Leadership Academy is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Illinois C at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Crimson Knights, they will take on Grand Valley Christian P at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
