Pee Dee Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Trinity Collegiate Titans 14-12. The victory was familiar territory for the Golden Eagles, who have now won 13 contests in a row dating back to last season.
Tristan Heckman threw for 51 yards and one touchdown. Avery Robinette was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards.
Trinity Collegiate's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Davidson Lynch, who threw for 95 yards and a pair of TDs, and Mac Burch, who picked up 25 receiving yards and one score.
