Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scholars Guild Academy). They were the clear victor by a 21-1 margin over the Trinity Prep Lions on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

Sidney Minor was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Scholars Guild Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity Prep only posted an OBP of .138.

Scholars Guild Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Trinity Prep, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Scholars Guild Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 19-1 win against Lyndon Academy on the 18th. Trinity Prep has also already played their next contest (against Skipstone Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
