The Vista del Lago Eagles lost against the Del Campo Cougars back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Vista del Lago fell to Del Campo 54-49. Vista del Lago has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jesse Petersen, who scored six points. Another player making a difference was Mason Rostami, who scored six points along with three steals.
Dino Hatzakos was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with two blocks for Del Campo. The team also got some help courtesy of Javi Sidhu, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Vista del Lago's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Del Campo, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-17.
Vista del Lago will stay at home for another game and welcome Sacramento at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Sacramento will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak. As for Del Campo, they will head out on the road to face off against El Camino at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
