New Knoxville lost against Coldwater in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 52-28 score last time.
New Knoxville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addi Albers, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Albers' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Avery Albers, who scored 11 points.
New Knoxville bumped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for Coldwater, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.
New Knoxville will be playing in front of their home fans against Marion Local at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marion Local presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than New Knoxville in Ohio (Marion Local is ranked 65th, while New Knoxville is ranked 713th). As for Coldwater, they will head out on the road to face off against Lima Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
