Jess Anders ran for two touchdowns and
Caleb Frysinger added two as well as
Aledo (Texas) bested Cleburne (Texas) 45-7 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Chance Nevarez in the first quarter, the Bearcats led 31-0 at the half.
Aledo expanded its lead to 45 points entering the fourth quarter. AHS scored two times in the third, including once on a Frysinger touchdown run.
A 28-point second quarter helped the Bearcats secure the big victory. Aledo scored on a touchdown run by
Pate Davis, a Anders touchdown run, a touchdown run by Anders and a touchdown catch by
Aaron Hinsley in the quarter.
The Yellowjackets' lone touchdown came on a 61-yard pass in the fourth quarter.
AHS had given up an average of 8.4 points prior to the contest.
The loss comes after Cleburne defeated University 42-15 last week. The loss snapped Cleburne's 2-game winning streak.
