National Cathedral's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Claire Kennedy, who had 21 digs and four assists, and Daphne Evans, who had four digs and two aces. That's the most digs Kennedy has posted since back in September.
They weren't the only good servers: National Cathedral was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Episcopal came up short against Bishop O'Connell on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Maroon in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost nine in a row.
While Episcopal was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13, 25-14.
Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for National Cathedral, their record is now 15-2-1.
National Cathedral might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Episcopal in their previous matchup back in September of 2024.
