The Marvin Ridge Mavericks will head out to challenge the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marvin Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.6 points per game this season.
Last Friday, Marvin Ridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-50 to Central Cabarrus. That's two games in a row now that the Mavericks have lost by exactly four points.

Despite their loss, Marvin Ridge saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Henry Smith, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 boards, was perhaps the best of all. Those 15 rebounds gave Smith a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alex Hutchens, who posted 15 points.
Even though they lost, Marvin Ridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Cabarrus only racked up seven assists.
Meanwhile, Fort Mill waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Volunteers as they made off with a 57-34 victory. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.
Fort Mill's win came from a few key players Marvin Ridge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jermier Nelson, who had 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Parker, who earned 11 points.
Fort Mill pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Marvin Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Marvin Ridge and Fort Mill are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Marvin Ridge hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 60.6 points per game. However, it's not like Fort Mill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 61.9 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Marvin Ridge ended up a good deal behind Fort Mill in their previous meeting back in January, losing 65-51. Can Marvin Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
