The Saxony Lutheran Crusaders can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 71-41 win over Oak Ridge at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-18.
Luke Eggemeyer was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 14 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for 19 straight games. Owen Bucheit was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Saxony Lutheran has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Oak Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
Saxony Lutheran will head out on the road to take on Greenville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Oak Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bell City at 6:00 p.m.
