Empire put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season on Friday. They steamrollered Bray-Doyle 56-8. Empire were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Empire will stay at home next week against Wilson. Bray-Doyle will be staying on the road, facing off against Ryan. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
