Basketball Game Preview: Panorama Pythons vs. Sun Valley Magnet Pioneers

Panorama has gone 5-0 against Sun Valley Magnet recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panorama Pythons will be playing at home against the Sun Valley Magnet Pioneers at 3:30 p.m.

Panorama is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Van Nuys on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Panorama had to suffer through a 63-19 loss at the hands of Van Nuys. The Pythons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-9.

Despite the defeat, Panorama had strong showings from VALERY QUEZADA, who posted 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Yadhira Hermenegildo, who had a point in addition to ten boards and three steals. Hermenegildo is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Even though they lost, Panorama smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Sun Valley Magnet entered their tilt with Lake Balboa College Prep on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Cougars, posting a 49-16 win. The Pioneers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Sun Valley Magnet has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.3 points per game. As for Panorama, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Panorama didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Sun Valley Magnet in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 40-34 victory.
