Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Miramar). They enjoyed a cozy 78-61 win over the Community School of Naples Seahawks on Thursday. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Seahawks are ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Miramar's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Siah Blot, who went 7 for 9 on his way to 21 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Martell Smith, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points along with five boards and five steals.

The win was the fourth in a row for Miramar, bringing their record for this year to 8-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Community School of Naples, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Miramar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-47 victory against St. Brendan on the 3rd. Community School of Naples has also already played their next contest, a 61-41 win against IMG Academy Gray on the 3rd.
