The Indians never let Merkel get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.
Tucker Deal was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Watson, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colby Clinkscales, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Jim Ned kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in eight consecutive contests.

Jim Ned pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Clyde, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5-1.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Jim Ned hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .455. However, it's not like Clyde struggles in that department as they've averaged .385. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
