Northridge has gone 9-1 against Goshen recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Raiders will look to defend their home field against the RedHawks at 5:30 p.m. Northridge is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Northridge came into this matchup off a tough six-run loss on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of South Bend Adams by a score of 6-4 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Raiders have suffered since May 1, 2024.

Rachel Humbarger put in work no matter where she played. She pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Humbarger was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Humbarger is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
Humbarger wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Rielyn Goodwin, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Mia Branam was another, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double.
Fairfield hit Goshen with a five-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The RedHawks fell 9-5 to the Falcons. The RedHawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Like Northridge, Goshen also got a great game from a two-way player: Abi Blankenship. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). Blankenship was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Abby Snyder was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Ryen Yoder, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Goshen now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Northridge, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.
Northridge couldn't quite finish off Goshen when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
