Harvest Christian stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They really took it to South Texas Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-33 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Harvest Christian sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Despite the defeat, South Texas Christian Academy had strong showings from Leonardo Rodrigues, who scored 12 points along with five steals, and Jorge Pe?a, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Rodrigues continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Harvest Christian pushed their record up to 19-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for South Texas Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Harvest Christian will take on Macedonian Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Macedonian Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for South Texas Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Juan Diego Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Juan Diego Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
