Valwood extended the longest winning streak in GISA 3AA this week by beating Mount de Sales Academy, 17-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Valwood and the Cavaliers played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Valwood eventually emerging with a 17-14 victory.
Sherwood Christian Academy's Dalton Todd and Chandler Tabb have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Todd has thrown for 582 yards this season, while Tabb, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 13 catches for 260 yards. Khary Paige from Ashley Henderson's team leads the league in rushing with 421 yards.
A big matchup in GISA 3AA this week will be when the Eagles take on the Valiants. As it stands, Sherwood Christian Academy is in fourth, while Valwood is in first.
There should be lots of points scored when Otis Covington's team and the Valiants face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Eagles comes in having scored 99 this season, while Valwood has scored 163. Sherwood Christian Academy scored 9 points last week as it fell to Deerfield-Windsor.
Westwood took down Tiftarea Academy 57-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
