Leading St. Anne to victory were Chris Link and Jordan Davis. Link almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds, while Davis scored 19 points. Davis has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Matthew Langellier was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
When it comes to explaining why Clifton Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Perry Mason. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mason has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Chandler, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
St. Anne is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. As for Clifton Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-11.
St. Anne will head out on the road to square off against Beecher at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beecher will roll in looking for their 29th straight win, something St. Anne surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clifton Central, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Grant Park at 7:00 p.m. Clifton Central is coming into the game with ten straight defeats at home, meaning Grant Park will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
