First Assembly Christian is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Monday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles at 4:00 p.m. First Assembly Christian will be strutting in after a victory while St. Benedict at Auburndale will be coming in after a loss.
First Assembly Christian's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over White Station. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Conner Palmer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other pitching news, Jadan Santucci looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
First Assembly Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as White Station struck out six times.
Meanwhile, St. Benedict at Auburndale was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Fayette Academy, falling 7-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.
St. Benedict at Auburndale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reign Richey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
St. Benedict at Auburndale's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for First Assembly Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. First Assembly Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like St. Benedict at Auburndale struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went First Assembly Christian's way against St. Benedict at Auburndale when the teams last played back in March of 2025, as First Assembly Christian made off with a 15-1 win.
