The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 3-2.
Carey started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-22, 25-23, 25-17.
Rylie Stoops paced Carey's offense, picking up 13 kills. Stoops got some help from McKinnley Kessler and her 23 assists.
Carey's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Mohawk, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.
