The North Posey Vikings will challenge the Tecumseh Braves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Posey will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
On Thursday, North Posey made easy work of Pike Central and carried off an 11-1 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Brennan Reich made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Davin Sullivan was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Remington Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
North Posey was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Tecumseh fell victim to Vincennes Lincoln and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Alices, falling 12-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Braves were not able to get on the board.
Tecumseh's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 3.6 runs. As for North Posey, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Everything went North Posey's way against Tecumseh when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as North Posey made off with a 14-5 victory. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
