The Peabody Golden Tide will head out on the road to face off against the Riverside Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Peabody rose to the challenge on Friday. They managed a 28-24 victory over Loretto. The win was just what Peabody needed coming off of a 48-14 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Riverside entered their tilt with Mt. Pleasant with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Riverside blew past Mt. Pleasant 50-6 at home. Considering Riverside has won eight games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Peabody's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Riverside, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record.
Peabody took a serious blow against Riverside in their previous meeting back in September, falling 42-10. Can Peabody avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
