The C. Milton Wright Mustangs shot 44% from beyond the arc for 11 threes to get past the Elkton Golden Elks on Tuesday. C. Milton Wright captured a comfortable 67-56 win over Elkton. That's another feather in the cap for the Mustangs, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
C. Milton Wright found their leader in underclassman sophomore Jordan Stiemke, who had 22 points. Junior Dylan Kutcher was another key contributor, picking up 20 points.
The victory -- their fourth in a row -- raised C. Milton Wright's record to 13-6. Elkton's loss pushed them down to 9-7.
C. Milton Wright will stay at home against Havre de Grace on Friday. C. Milton Wright isn't the favorite to win, but, of course, any team can defy the odds on the right day. As for the Golden Elks, they will go up against Joppatowne on Friday. If the matchup is anything like Joppatowne's 87-76 win from their previous meeting January, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
