Show Low hasn't had much luck against Snowflake recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Show Low will look to defend their home field against Snowflake at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Show Low barely beat St. Johns the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Show Low put the hurt on St. Johns with a sharp 9-3 win on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Riley Heuett made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addisyn Clark, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Meanwhile, Snowflake never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Holbrook as Snowflake made off with a 16-0 victory. The Lobos haven't had any issues with the Roadrunners recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Like Show Low, Snowflake also got a great game from a two-way player: Kashlynn Cantrell. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Cantrell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Taya Schneider was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Graycee Skousen, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, two RBI, and one run.
Show Low pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Snowflake, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Show Low hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .422. However, it's not like Snowflake struggles in that department as they've averaged .406. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Show Low suffered a grim 20-4 defeat to Snowflake in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Show Low have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
