Bath County will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Narrows extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Green Waves beat Craig County by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. Considering the Green Waves have won ten games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Meanwhile, Bath County made easy work of Pocahontas County on Friday and carried off a 17-7 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Chargers have posted against the Warriors since March 27, 2019.
I Ingram made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Bath County is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-9 otherwise. Ingram was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four runs and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on C Lowry, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. O Perdue was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Narrows pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Bath County, their record now sits at 5-10.
Everything went Narrows' way against Bath County in their previous matchup back in April, as Narrows made off with a 13-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Green Waves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
