Grafton lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Whitefish Bay, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Black Hawks put the hurt on the Blue Dukes with a sharp 13-3 victory on Monday. The Black Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.
Khiah King made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off ten hits. King was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, Grafton got a big performance out of Avery Schoggins, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Ava Eernisse was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5.
Grafton's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3. As for Whitefish Bay, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
