The Johnson City Wildcats are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Vestal Golden Bears at 7:15 p.m. on February 6th. Johnson City has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Johnson City scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 79-47 victory over Binghamton on the road. Given Johnson City's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Patriots are ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, even though Elmira scored an imposing 65 points on Tuesday, Vestal still came out on top. Vestal took their game against the Express 74-65.
Johnson City's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Vestal, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Johnson City strolled past the Golden Bears in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 55-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Johnson City since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
