4A District 7 recap October 1, 2013
University added to the longest winning streak in 4A District 7 this week by beating Boyd Anderson, 50-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Suns.
University took down the Cobras 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
On the heels of Sean White and Jordan Scarlett, Roger Harriott's team has had great success on offense. White leads the league in passing with 637 yards, while Scarlett has rushed for 411 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is North Broward Prep's Jordan Schemm, with 264 yards on 16 catches.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Eagles' Schemm goes up against the Suns' Deonta Fair.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Somerset Academy takes on Glades Central. The Panthers are currently in third, while the Raiders are in second.
The league will see a high scoring game when University and North Broward Prep face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Suns comes in having scored 174 this season, while Rex Nottage's team has scored 48. University scored 50 points last week as it bested Boyd Anderson.
Somerset Academy made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,813 from 11,244. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 47-0 victory over Archbishop Carroll last week.
