It was a good run, but Training Center Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Frontier School of Excellence by a score of 69-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (64), Training Center Christian still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Training Center Christian still got an impressive performance from Creed Lopez, who scored 30 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lopez has scored all season. Alex Bryan was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Frontier School of Excellence was led to victory by Mohamed Yussuf and Henry Uti. Yussuf scored 17 points, while Uti scored 18 points. Uti is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jakeem Davis, who scored 12 points.
Training Center Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Frontier School of Excellence, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
Training Center Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Angels at 5:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Show-Me Christian is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Frontier School of Excellence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Ozanam is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
