Meanwhile, Stephenville waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They never let Little River Academy onto the board and left with a 7-0 win. Stephenville's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.
Brownwood's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3-3. As for Stephenville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1-2.
Brownwood suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Stephenville when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can Brownwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
