The Harpeth Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They suffered a tough 65-39 loss at the hands of Greenbrier. Harpeth was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-16.
Nolan Carson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 17 rebounds for Greenbrier. That makes it five consecutive games in which Carson has scored at least 25% of Greenbrier's points. Nate Castleman was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds.
Harpeth bumped their record down to 2-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Greenbrier, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.
Harpeth and Houston County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Greenbrier, they will head out on the road to face off against Jo Byrns at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Jo Byrns is ranked 241st, while Greenbrier is ranked 244th).
