The Roanoke-Benson Rockets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Flanagan/Woodland by a score of 58-47. Roanoke-Benson didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Flanagan/Woodland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ella Derossett. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Emma Palaschak was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven assists and two steals.
Roanoke-Benson's win bumped their record up to 7-22. As for Flanagan/Woodland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season.
Roanoke-Benson's road trip will continue as they head out to face Peoria Heights at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th. Hopefully Peoria Heights focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Thursday. As for Flanagan/Woodland, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-36 defeat vs. LeRoy on the 8th.
