Even though the Hoke County Bucks have not done well against the Pinecrest Patriots recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Hoke County secured a 54-50 W over Pinecrest. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hoke County.
Jaylen Sturdivant was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Braydon O.d mckoy was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Hoke County has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Pinecrest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoke County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Scotland at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. As for Pinecrest, they will challenge Union Pines at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Union Pines focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
