Basketball Recap: Trae Wyatt Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Northeast Academy for Aerospace and Advanced Tech

Cape Hatteras's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past the Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins with points to spare, taking the game 51-33. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hurricanes as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Cape Hatteras' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trae Wyatt, who posted nine points and five steals. Those five steals gave Wyatt a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Stephens, who earned 13 points.

Cape Hatteras' victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, their loss was their 24th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Cape Hatteras will square off against Manteo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West Craven at 4:00 p.m. on December 21st.
