Bartram Trail has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Beachside Barracudas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bartram Trail will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Beachside is ranked 101st).
On Tuesday, Bartram Trail lost to St. Augustine at home by a decisive 55-41 margin.
Meanwhile, Beachside entered their tilt with ED White with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Beachside enjoyed a cozy 62-44 victory over ED White on Tuesday. Winning is a bit easier when you drain six more threes than your opponent, as Beachside did.
Beachside can attribute much of their success to Morgan Cremen, who scored 13 points along with seven steals, and Kendall Kane, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. The match was Cremen's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madilyn (Madi) Ray, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Bartram Trail's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-5. As for Beachside, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Bartram Trail didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Beachside in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 40-34 win. Will Bartram Trail repeat their success, or does Beachside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
