The biggest upset of the week belonged to Plattsburg, who took down 206th ranked Plattsburg, 20-9. Dalton Robinson threw for 166 yards and one touchdown and ran for 17 yards in the win.
Drew Finch and Jalen Richman provided fans with a highlight when they connected against West Platte. The connection was good for 52 yards, the longest such play in KCI this season.
Derrick Hughes was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 159 yards as Penney bested the Tigers. Kellen Overstreet also contributed to the rushing game with 116 yards on the ground.
Hoffman was the best wideout in the league this week as the Dragons defeated Plattsburg. Hoffman racked up five receptions for 74 yards. Jimmy Scott helped Mid-Buchanan's passing attack out by catching two balls for 39 yards.
Tyler Clark made the biggest impact on defense this week as Mid-Buchanan topped Derek Wilson's team. The senior racked up two sacks.
Randy Williams's team's Robinson and Hoffman have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading KCI in both passing and receiving yards. Robinson has thrown for 691 yards this season, while Hoffman has 17 catches for 185 yards. Hughes from the Hornets leads the league in rushing with 1106 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Penney takes on Lawson. Dave Fairchild's team is currently in first, while the Cardinals are in third.
The Hornets extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Bluejays, 47-12. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
