Williamsburg hasn't had much luck against Whitley County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Yellow Jackets will venture away from home to face off against the Colonels at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Williamsburg took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Pineville by a score of 10-6. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Yellow Jackets considering their one-run performance the match before.
Ethan Reed made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Williamsburg is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-23 otherwise. Reed was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
