Wirt County's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Connor Hoover, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Braylan Dawson, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. The game was Dawson's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alex Bevel, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Williamstown put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 55-47 victory over St. Albans. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Williamstown has scored all year.
Wirt County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Williamstown, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
