St. Mary has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Lodi Flames at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Mary's knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Lodi likes a good challenge.
St. Mary's scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Tokay 84-55 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory St. Mary's has posted against Tokay since January 23, 2019.
St. Mary's can attribute much of their success to Dominic Glero, who scored 13 points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Glero has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Ward, who scored seven points along with nine assists.
Lodi posted their biggest win since December 6, 2023 on Friday. They put the hurt on Tracy with a sharp 67-45 victory. The win was just what Lodi needed coming off of a 67-30 loss in their prior game.
St. Mary's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Lodi, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
St. Mary's came out on top in a nail-biter against Lodi in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, sneaking past 51-48. Does St. Mary's have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lodi turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
