The East Tech Scarabs lost against the Max S. Hayes Lakers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. East Tech fell 39-28 to Max S. Hayes. East Tech has not had much luck with Max S. Hayes recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
East Tech's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nadia Pamplin, who scored 14 points, and Shukuru Kalenga who scored nine points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pamplin has scored all season.
Leading Max S. Hayes to victory were Annalysh Caraballo and Nevaeh Williams. Caraballo scored 12 points, while Williams scored 14 points.
East Tech's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Max S. Hayes, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
East Tech will be playing in front of their home fans against Maple Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Maple Heights focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Monday. As for Max S. Hayes, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tallmadge at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st.
