Academic Magnet took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lake Marion, who comes in off a win.
Lake Marion posted their biggest win yet this season on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 70-37 win over Swansea at home.
Among those leading the charge was Patrick Guest, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Jahkye Deas, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Academic Magnet's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 16th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Oceanside Collegiate Academy, falling 79-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Academic Magnet has scored all season.
Lake Marion is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-11 record this season. As for Academic Magnet, they bumped their record down to 1-17 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Lake Marion lost to Academic Magnet on the road by a decisive 49-31 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2023.
