The Fairlawn Jets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Mississinawa Valley with a sharp 77-57 victory. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Fairlawn as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Cing Scott and Bryson Gower certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Scott scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, while Gower scored 14 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gower has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Wehrkamp, who scored nine points.
Fairlawn's win bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Mississinawa Valley, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairlawn will take on Russia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Russia is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Mississinawa Valley, they will be playing at home against Ansonia at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ansonia is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
