Wynford is 2-8 against Upper Sandusky since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Both teams will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wynford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Upper Sandusky likes a good challenge.
Even though Edison scored an imposing 65 points on Saturday, Wynford still came out on top. Wynford took their contest against Edison 74-65. Given Wynford's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while Edison is ranked 322nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Upper Sandusky's seven-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Saturday. They secured a 57-51 W over Ontario.
Wynford pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Upper Sandusky, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Wynford skirted past Upper Sandusky 77-74 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Wynford repeat their success, or does Upper Sandusky have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
