Football Recap: Saint Andrew's Piles Up the Points Against St. John Paul II Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saint Andrew). They took their matchup on Monday with ease, bagging a 47-8 victory over the St. John Paul II Academy Eagles. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Scots' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Eagles are ranked 455th).

Saint Andrew's got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Williams out in front who threw for 187 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Williams a new career-high in passer rating (156.1). Another player making a difference was Quinn Connors, who picked up 87 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Saint Andrew's proved: they limited St. John Paul II Academy to a paltry 2.9 yards per carry. The team can thank Luan Herbst for the heroic effort on defense: he. Saint Andrew's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.5.
